Abstract

Illicit enrichment is a particularly dangerous criminal phenomenon that not only undermines the
proper functioning of the public sphere but also inevitably contributes to corruption. In the context in
which the Republic of Moldova decided to criminalize the crime under analysis, through this study
we propose clear and structured objectives such as: the history and definition of the crime, its
evolution, the provisions of the crime of illicit enrichment in other states, as well as, summarising, we
will also indicate the conclusions on the reflections with recommendations.
