Abstract

This article analyzes the way in which Giorgio Strehler applied his rigorous artistic principles developed in the dramatic theater in the context of the very particular and imperative needs of the opera theater and how he was able to adapt his method to the multitude of models that the opera proposed by over the centuries and in different geographical and cultural situations.
