Victor Papilian și romanul realist
Abstract
The novelist Victor Papilian creates, from a typological point of view, a totally social anchored prose, designed around an extensive, fresco type realism, in which the focus is placed upon displaying the most varied media, upon the identification of the abyssal cases. Usually the novels are marked by a certain rhetoric voice, which is specific to scientific demonstrations, due to which the literary value of the works has been questioned by literary criticism. The present paper aims to present the fresco novel by means of a a case study. The "In the Faith of the Seven Candlesticks" novel will be analyzed during this paper. The work aims to display the elements related to the realistic novel’s Romanesque architecture, as well as to identify the novelty elements applied by the scientist man, Victor Papilian, to such a type of prose.
