Elements of Romanian grammar for beginner students by Nicolau Bălășescu

Abstract

      This article is comprised of Professor Nicolau Bălășescu’s work, written in the transitional Cyrillic alphabet, published in 1850 in Bucharest and printed at Iosef Kopainig's Typography. In the first part of this article I began with a description of the phonetic system as a representation of this grammar’s structure with an emphasis on Professor Bălășescu's explanations regarding the classification of three parts of speech: the noun, the article, the adjective.
