Résumé

The purpose of this paper is the study of what Hédi Bouraoui calls “ nomadanse ” and its
epistemological and existential implications on the conception of the figure of the immigrant. This neologism is
in reality a key-concept in Bouraoui’s nomadism. It plays and essential role in the understanding of issues
related to language, culture and identity. The archetype of the nomad is behind the definition of creativity as an
act of freedom In this sense the glorification of movement is related to a certain conception of the world and its
esthetical expressions. This idea of freedom is behind the holistic redefinition of the“ fragmented subject ”
(Fromm). This approach is also a philosophical exploration of the problem of determinism as it is considered by
both Sartre and Bouraoui
