Regards d’écrivains français contemporains sur la possession de Marie de Magdala

Abstract

Within the contemporary French literature, Saint Magdalena’s literary character is the central figure
of many writings. From this point of view, our paper will present and analyse some representative literary texts
through their staging strategies of the religious themes. Rooted into the same texts – Gospel of Lucas and
Mathew – and their exegesis, the contemporary literary writings follow them according to both the authors’
adherence to the Catholic doctrine and the chosen literary genre.
