Memorie şi istorie la Paul Ricœur
Abstract
Paul Ricoeur is one of the most important thinkers of the 20th century, with notable contributions in philosophy and theology. One of his most important books is Memory, History, Forgetting. In his works he aims at revealing the relationship between memory, history, oblivion and truth, as in his opinion the historical representation of the past bears on the transition from memory to history. The French philosopher sees memory as a matrix of history, and memory is educated by history, therefore memory and history are not at odds. Paul Ricoeur is also a firsthand Biblical hermeneutics researcher, a point of reference for the entire Christian theology in the Western space, a thinker whose constant concern lay on man and the human condition, the founding events of Christian culture, the Christian West centred on the opposition between the sacred and the profane history.
