D. Bolintineanu - Călătorii pe Dunăre și în Bulgaria – un memorial de călătorie cu miză multiplă
Abstract
Within the Romanian 19th century writings, the travel memoirs mirror an exercise of identity-oriented dissociation / Self validating strategy, therefore a way to legitimize oneness as belonging to a community – or a nation – with equal rights
in the European political background of the time, as well as a specific literary strategy fictionalizing the biographical episodes which are juxtaposed, precisely for this purpose, on the invented sequences meant to offer narrative coherence to the more or less standardized narrative episodes embedded in the memoirs texts.
