Design of a Model of Race Car for Gaming Applications
Abstract
This paper presents the implementation of a didactic model of a race car for gaming applications. The prototype can operate in three distinct modes: autonomous mode, manual/game
mode, and self-test. The autonomous mode was implemented in order to teach the basic principles of the design of autonomous vehicles. An additional game operating mode allows the user to control the car on a given lane, with the game goal to detect as many magnetic markers deployed along the path as possible. The number of detected markers is interpreted as the game score, and sent to the main application upon completion of the race.
