Worldwide, statistical data on natural increase highlight the fact that the number of births is twice as high as the number of deaths reported annually, and this index is continuously increasing in favor of the birth rate. In Romania, however, the phenomenon is as follows: in 2015, the population was 19,870,647 inhabitants and will decrease by 17.8% until 2050, reaching 16,331,359 inhabitants.
