Abstract

This work is a part of broader experimental research study on the influence of the main process parameters (thermal, temporal and chemical of carburizing thermochemical treatment on the level of the main microstructural features, chemical and physical-mechanical properties values, resulted to the carbon hardening process of the AMS 6265 (SAE 9310) steel parts used in the aeronautical industry. This paper treats only those aspects concerning the influence of these three key parameters temperature, TK, maintaining time, tK, and carbon potential, CpotK on the surface hardness parts, HRCSUP. The originality of this work lie in the approach of the experimental study using the active experiment scheduled method with the second order of noncompositional programming.
