Abstract

Is Romania an aged country? And if it is, is one of the oldest countries in Europe? These questions appear strongly today, when the older part of the population (over 60) represent near 20% in the total, and exist 3,5 retired persons for one active.

The lower of birth rate, the strong migration phenomena, the worsen of life conditions are just some of principals causes in this matter. It’s true, there are many other countries in Europe (and not only!) in this situation. But we cannot be calmed for this reason. The effects may be serious. So, what can we do?
