Abstract
In the Christian morals, love is a duty. In this context, is it necessary that forgiveness also become a duty? The question imposes itself as a consequence of the criminal historical experiences from the XX-th century. In the present enquiry are emphasized the virtues of forgiveness, the extent in which it is humanly possible to forgive, the paradox of the human condition in the situation of forgiveness.
