Profilul identitar al unui unui cavaler reîntors la matcă – Sorin Alexandrescu între discursul critic şi cel autobiografic
Abstract
The Romanian intellectual’s identity rooted in the exilic / diasporic experience seems to be the best way of approaching Sorin Alexandrescu’s writing. His book entitled Identitate in rupture/Identity in
rupture enhances a representative identity-focused discourse. Covertly looking for the ‘traits’ of Oneness into the Otherness’ writing, the critic mirrors his specific identity fragments into a puzzle-like narrative by joining together the disjunctive relations of Romanian culture to a legitimising identity-rooted virtual prototype. From this point of view, our study analyses the double-faced identity relation between Sorin Alexandrescu (who uses an innovative identity perspective in approaching Tudor Vianu’s apolitical
profile displayed by the latter’s scientific options) and his own dilemmatic identity.
