Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

General Aspects

Researchers form all countries are invited to submit original, unpublished research work on topics related to the general domain of History.

Our journal does not accept already published texts or texts to be published in other magazines. They can be published in other publications only in another language than the one used for Analele Universității „Dunărea de Jos” – Seria 19, Istorie. The authors can publish the materials printed in our journal in their own volumes.

Book reviews will also be considered.

All submissions must be written in Romanian or in an international language (English, French, German, Spanish, Russian).

The studies can be sent to the editorial office between January and August of the current year. The peer-review procedure begins immediately after receiving the text. In October, the contents of the magazine are drawn up, and the editing and publication procedures take place during the months of November and December. The magazine is scheduled for release around December 15th.

Publication Agreement

By submitting a paper for publication in this Annals the co-authors of the paper will be required to sign a Publication Agreement (see Copyright Policy)

The Publication Agreement Form will be sent to the authors by email after the end of peer-review process.

Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism, including duplicate publication of the author's own work, in whole or in part without proper citation is not tolerated by the journal.

All the manuscripts submitted to the journal are checked for originality using dedicated anti-plagiarism software.

Information about the author and the paper

Materials sent for publication must be accompanied each time by the Curriculum Vitae of the author, updated and as exhaustive as possible, also containing the contact data which can be made public. Also, studies must contain keywords and summary, all of these strictly observing the recommendation of the Journal listed below.

Author Guidelines

Mirror settings page:

- Margins: left - right = 4 cm;  top - bottom = 4.5 cm;

- Line spacing: 1.15;

- Font: TIMES NEW ROMAN  11 pt;

- Pages not numbered.

Pagination

Author: First Name (normal), Last Name (upper case): italic, bold, left. Please insert a foot note after authors s name ( using * symbol). At the foot note please write your name, your organization, your email, ORCID and other relevant information. 

Title: upper case, bold, centered, TNR 12 pt

Title in English (if it is necessary): upper case, centered, Sylfaen 11 pt.

Abstract (maximum ½ page), written in English, will be placed under the title (Sylfaen 11 pt). At the end add keywords and summary (in English) separated by commas.

The material can be divided into sections, subsections, paragraphs.

Any chapter title will be written centred, in capital and will be preceded by a numerical symbol, beginning with 1, followed by a point; if necessary, will follow other numbers, separated by periods, depending on the degree subordinate title (ex .: 1. Chapter; 1.1. Subchapter; 1.1.1. Paragraph).

Fonts chapter titles and subtitles are:

  • Grade 1 - size 11 bold, centered, in capital letters;
  • Grade 2 - size 11, bold, italic, aligned to the Tab;
  • Grade 3 - size 11, italic, aligned to the Tab.

Bibliography / References

The article must have a bibliography at the end of the text. The bibliography and references are drawn up according to the Chicago Manual of Style:

 Footnotes shall be marked in one way only (with Arabic numerals). All footnotes shall end with a full stop.

 

Articles that do not comply with the editorial rules will be sent to the authors to be edited as required.
