The Monarchy and the city of Barlad
Abstract
Throughout its history, the town of Barlad was visited repeatedly by Romanian monarchs. Carol I was the one who visited it the most, both during his travels throughout the entire country and due to some military operations in the region. King Ferdinand I set his residence in the Royal Quarters on the Slobozia - Zorleni domain when he took refuge (from December 1916 to January 1917).
