VERTUS P…DAGOGIQUES DU CONTE POPULAIRE CADIEN EN CLASSE DE FLE
Abstract
Folktales have a great impact on children's imagination and creativity through the versatile form of the fictional itineraries they put into action. Teachers use this entertaining and instructive medium in their teaching to give their pupils the opportunity to develop their auditory and visual memory and to reflect on the moral meanings, identity aspects and cultural landmarks that this type of text proposes. In this paper, we aim to address some theoretical aspects of the story (definition and etymology of the term, evolution of the genre, features, functions, orientations), and then to identify in two Cajun texts - Monsieur Tortie and L'Habitation - the linguistic and socio-cultural aspects specific to French-speaking
Louisiana. The discovery of the stereotypes built into these folktales will be followed by an enumeration of the textual functioning mechanisms that are specific to them and a series of A2 and B1 level exercises in which students use expressions related to everyday life, assimilate grammar rules and/or rehearse the characteristics of a narrative and descriptive text.
