  • Paul Ahidjo

Abstract

Since independence, the North of Cameroon has experienced an influx of forced migrants from Chad and the Central African Republic, whose political unrest and ecological crises are driving factors. Many refugees are hosted in camps makeshift and prompted the mobilization of the international community for the deployment of emergency humanitarian measures. From primary data and secondary data, this work proposes through an approach that combines the historical perspective with the social sciences, to show how North Cameroon represents a zone of refuge and to analyze the issues that are emerging around foreign migration.
