Abstract

Governments around the world are making significant efforts toward the assimilation and operationalization of e-governance. These efforts are not only focused on the digitization process itself, but also on a broader reorganization process of public services and participation processes based on new information technologies. This paper presents in a synthetic manner, contributory factors and barriers in the process of assimilation and operationalization of e-governance platforms in the practice of public entities.
