Bine ați venit pe site-ul oficial al Revistei ”Teologie și Educație la Dunărea de Jos”! Revista ”Teologie și Educație la Dunărea de Jos” este parte a Analelor Universității ”Dunărea de Jos” din Galați și reprezintă cea de a doua „catedră” prin mijlocirea căreia cadrele didactice ale Departamentului de Teologie Ortodoxă al Facultății de Istorie, Filosofie și Teologie, împreună cu invitații care onorează cu participarea lor simpozioanele ștințifice internaționale și naționale organizate anual de acest Departament în colaborare cu Universitatea ”Dunărea de Jos” și Arhiepiscopia Dunării de Jos își fac cunoscute cercetările științifice din domeniul teologiei, și nu numai.
Deși este o revistă teologică apărută relativ recent în spațiul publicațiilor de acest gen din România, invitații de înaltă ținută intelectuală și mare prestigiu științific, din țară și din străinătate, participanți la simpozioanele organizate de Departamentul de Teologie de-a lungul anilor, ne dau încrederea că studiile pe care le-au susținut și pe care Revista le-a cuprins în paginile sale, cărora se alătură cele ale membrilor Departamentului, conferă Revistei o calitate științifică ridicată și răspunde exigențelor științifice moderne dar și întrebărilor și căutărilor ridicate de provocările lumii contemporane.

Welcome to the official website of the journal "Theology and Education at the Lower Danube"! The journal "Theology and Education at the Lower Danube" is part of the Annals of "Lower Danube" University of Galati and represents the second "chair" through which the teaching staff of the Department of Orthodox Theology of the Faculty of History, Philosophy and Theology, together with guests who honor with their participation the international and national scientific symposiums organized annually by this Department in collaboration with the "Lower Danube" University and the Lower Danube Archdiocese make known their scientific research in the field of theology, and not only.
Although it is a theological magazine published relatively recently in the space of such publications in Romania, guests of high intellectual standing and great scientific prestige, both in the country and abroad, participants in the symposia organized by the Department of Theology over the years, give us the confidence that the studies they have sustained and which the Magazine has embraced on its pages, to which they join the members of the Department, give the Magazine a high scientific quality and respond to the modern scientific requirements, but also to the questions and queries raised by the challenges of the contemporary world.

DEPARTAMENTUL TEOLOGIC AL FACULTĂŢII DE ISTORIE, FILOSOFIE ŞI TEOLOGIE A UNIVERSITĂŢII „DUNĂREA DE JOS” DIN GALAŢI
(scurt istoric)
- Începuturi:
La solicitarea arhiepiscopului de vie memorie dr. Antim Nica şi a arhiereului – vicar de atunci, dr. Casian Gălăţeanul, prin Hotărârea nr. 8611/1991, Sfântul Sinod a aprobat înfiinţarea unei secţii Teologie-Litere (Teologie - Limbă şi literatură română), în cadrul Facultăţii de Litere a Universităţii din Galaţi. Hotărârea venea în conformitate cu Protocolul din 1991 încheiat între Ministerul Învăţământului şi Secretariatul de Stat pentru Culte, care privea organizarea şi funcţionarea învăţământului teologic superior şi includerea acestuia în reţeaua instituţiilor de învăţământ de stat.
- Corpul profesoral.
La nivelul anului 1992, corpul profesoral desemnat de chiriarhie era alcătuit din: pr. prof. univ. dr. Nicolae D. Necula, atunci prodecanul Facultăţii de Teologie din Bucureşti (decan onorific al secţiei), pr. lect. drd. Ionel Ene, pr. lect. drd. Marin Stamate, pr. asist. Costea Tănăsache, pr. Constantin Davideanu, pr. Liviu Rotaru, pr. drd. Gabriel Iancu, prof. Victor Marola.
Din anul 1995 s-au adăugat corpului academic: pr. dr. Gheorghe Sava, conf. dr. Sergiu Tofan, pr. Ionel Ostache; mai târziu au fost cooptaţi pr. Constantin Oancea și pr. Leontin Popescu.
Din anul 2001, corpul profesoral este onorat cu prezenţa şi prestaţia academică ale Î.P.S. prof. univ. dr. Casian Crăciun, care este şi membru de onoare al Senatului Universităţii. În anul 2004 cadrelor didactice li s-a adăugat pr. dr. Dorin Gabriel Pandele, care din anul 2015 a fost ales Director al Departamentului Teologic. Începând cu octombrie 2006 au fost cuprinşi în corpul profesoral de la Departament şi pr. dr. Sorin Marinescu şi pr. dr. Cristian Gagu.
În corpul profesoral a intrat, ca membru, şi pr. lect. dr. Lucian Petroaia. Acestora li s-a alăturat şi dra lect. dr. Gina Scarlat.
Din anul universitar 2008-2009 predă şi pc. pr. dr. Ovidiu Soare iar din anul universitar 2014-2015 îşi desfăşoară activitatea în cadrul Departamentului Teologic și pr. dr. Costel Toma.
În anul universitar 2016-2017 a fost cooptat pr. dr. Mihai Roşu, iar începând cu anul universitar 2017-2018 predă şi dl. prof. dr. Marian Ionescu.
Profesorii de teologie ai Departamentului de Teologie publică o parte din rezultatele cercetărilor ştiiinţifice în fascicula universitară „Teologie şi educaţie la Dunărea de Jos“, pregătită şi tipărită în Editura Episcopiei Dunării de Jos.
- Programe de studiu.
Din anul 2000, alături de programul Teologie-Limba şi literatură română a funcţionat şi specializarea Teologie - limba şi literatura engleză. Cele două specializări au intrat în lichidare la 1 octombrie 2006, urmare a modificărilor în structura Universităţii, impuse de implementarea sistemului „Bologna”; din anul universitar următor a fost implementat un nou program de studiu, Teologie Didactică. Tot din 2006, specializările teologice s-au constituit într-un Departament Teologic condus, până în 2015, de pr. prof. dr. Ionel Ene.
De la 1 octombrie 2007, Departamentul Teologic a intrat în componenţa Facultăţii de Istorie, Filosofie şi Teologie.
Începând cu anul universitar 2008-2009, la Departamentul Teologic al Facultăţii de Istorie, Filosofie şi Teologie s-a dezvoltat programul de studii aprofundate (Master) „Istorie şi spiritualitate filocalică”.
Din anul universitar 2009-2010, în cadrul Departamentul Teologic al Facultăţii de Istorie, Filosofie şi Teologie funcţionează şi specializarea pentru licenţă „Teologie Ortodoxă Asistenţă Socială”.
Începând cu anul universitar 2015-2016 a fost înfiinţat şi programul de Masterat „Spiritualitate Ortodoxă şi Asistenţă Socială” .
În baza Hotărârii Sfântului Sinod al Bisericii Ortodoxe Române cu nr. 6588/06 iulie 2017, începând cu anul universitar 2017-2018, în cadrul Departamentului Teologic al Facultăţii de Istorie, Filosofie şi Teologie din Galaţi funcţionează o nouă specializare pentru cursuri de licenţă - „Artă Sacră”, care a primit, de la A.R.A.C.I.S., autorizarea de funcţionare provizorie.
- Evenimente academice de cel mai înalt nivel.
În anul 2000, Universitatea „Dunărea de Jos“ s-a onorat acordând Sanctităţii Sale Bartolomeu I, Patriarhul Ecumenic de Constantinopol şi fericitului întru pomenire Patriarh Teoctist al Bisericii Ortodoxe Române titlul academic de „Doctor Honoris Causa“. Acest fapt, istoric pentru Eparhie şi Universitate, deopotrivă, a conferit multă onoare şi demnitate şi secţiilor teologice, pe seama cărora s-au acordat cele două doctorate.
În cadrul unui distins eveniment academic, în date de 16 octombrie 2008, profesorul dr. Gerhard Mayer de la Universitatea din Tubingen şi episcop al Bisericii Lutherane din Baden-Wurtenberg, în baza unui dialog universitar peren (care în 2018 a împlinit 22 de ani!!!) a primit titlul de „Senator de Onoare” al Universităţii „Dunărea de Jos” din Galaţi.
În ziua praznicului Sfântului Andrei – 30 noiembrie 2003, Senatul Universităţii „Dunărea de Jos”, prezent in corpore în Catedrala Episcopală, a acordat PF Patriarh Daniel al Bisericii Ortodoxe Române, atunci Mitropolit Daniel al Moldovei şi Bucovinei, titlul de „Senator de Onoare”.
În data de 30 noiembrie 2011, PF Patriarh Daniel al Bisericii Ortodoxe Române, prezent la la Galaţi, la Sărbătorile Sfântului Andrei, a primit titlul de „Doctor Honoris Causa” al Universităţii „Dunărea de Jos” din Galaţi.

THE THEOLOGICAL DEPARTMENT OF THE FACULTY OF HISTORY, PHILOSOPHY AND THEOLOGY "DUNAREA DE JOS" UNIVERSITY OF GALAŢI (short history)
- Beginning:
At the request of the archbishop of vivid memory Dr. Antim Nica and the vicar of that time, Dr. Casian Gălăţeanul, by Decision no. 8611/1991, the Holy Synod approved the establishment of a Section of Theology-Letters (Theology - Language and Romanian Literature), within the Faculty of Letters of the University of Galati. The judgment came in accordance with the 1991 Protocol concluded between the Ministry of Education and the State Secretariat for Cults, which concerned the organization and functioning of higher theological education and its inclusion in the network of state educational institutions.
- The Teaching Staff
In 1992, the teaching staff appointed by the hierarchy consisted of: pr. prof. univ. Dr. Nicolae D. Necula, dean of the Faculty of Theology of Bucharest (honorary dean of the section) at that moment, pr. lect. Ph.D. Ionel Ene, pr. lect. Ph.D. Marin Stamate, pr. Assist. Costea Tănăsache, pr. Constantin Davideanu, pr. Liviu Rotaru, pr. Ph.D. Gabriel Iancu, Professor Victor Marola.
Since 1995 there have been added to the academic body: Ph.D. Gheorghe Sava, Ph.D., Sergiu Tofan, Ph.D. Ionel Ostache; later pr. Constantin Oancea and Pr. Leontin Popescu were co-opted.
Since 2001, the teaching staff has been honored with the presence and academic performance of His Highness PhD Casian Crăciun, who is also an honorary member of the Senate of the University. In 2004, teachers were added to the teaching staff. PhD Dorin Gabriel Pandele, who since 2015 has been elected Director of the Theological Department. Since October 2006 PhD Sorin Marinescu and PhD Cristian Gagu have been enrolled in the teaching stuff of the Department.
In the professorial body he entered, as a member, lect. Dr. Lucian Petroaia. Soon Dr. Gina Scarlat joined them.
From the academic year 2008-2009 pc. pr. Dr. Ovidiu Soare has been teaching and since the academic year 2014-2015 Pr. Dr. Costel Toma has been working in the Department of Theology.
In the academic year 2016-2017 Dr. Mihai Roşu was co-opted , and from the academic year 2017-2018, Prof. Dr. Marian Ionescu.
Theology professors of the Department of Theology publish part of the results of the scientific researches in the university faculty "Theology and Education at Dunarea de Jos", prepared and printed in the Publishing House of the ”Dunarea de Jos” Episcopate.
- Study programs
Since 2000, besides the Theology and Romanian Language and Literature program, the Theology - English Language and Literature functioned too. The two specializations entered into liquidation on 1 October 2006, following the changes in the structure of the University, imposed by the implementation of the "Bologna" system; from the next academic year a new study program, Didactic Theology was implemented. Since 2006 until 2015, theological specializations have been set up in a Theological Department headed by Prof. Dr. Ionel Ene.
Since October 1st, 2007, the Department of Theology has joined the Faculty of History, Philosophy and Theology. Starting with the academic year 2008-2009, the Department of Theology of the Faculty of History, Philosophy and Theology has developed the Master's program "History and Philosophical Spirituality".
From the academic year 2009-2010, the Department of Theology of the Faculty of History, Philosophy and Theology also operates the specialization for the undergraduate "Orthodox Theology and Social Assistance".
Based on the Decision of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church with no. 6588/06 July 2017, starting with the academic year 2017-2018, in the Department of Theology of the Faculty of History, Philosophy and Theology of Galati operate a new specialization for undergraduate courses - "Sacred Art", which received from ARACIS, authorization for temporary operation.
- Highest academic events.
In 2000, the University of "Dunarea de Jos" was honored by granting His Holiness Bartholomew I, the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople and the blessed honorary Patriarch Teoctist of the Romanian Orthodox Church the academic title "Doctor Honoris Causa". This fact, historically for the Diocese and the University, alike, has given a great deal of honor and dignity to the theological departments on whose behalf the two PhDs were awarded.
In a distinguished academic event, in October 16, 2008, Professor Gerhard Mayer of the University of Tubingen and Bishop of the Lutheran Church in Baden-Wurtenberg, based on a perennial university dialogue (which in 2018 turned 22! !!) received the title of "Honorary Senator" of the "Dunarea de Jos" University in Galati.
On the day of St. Andrew's feast - November 30, 2003, the Senate of the "Dunărea de Jos" University, present in the Episcopal Cathedral, granted the Holiness Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Orthodox Church, then Metropolitan Daniel of Moldavia and Bucovina, the title of "Senator of Honor" .
On November 30, 2011, the Holiness Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Orthodox Church, present at Galaţi at the Feast of St. Andrew, received the title of "Doctor Honoris Causa" of the "Dunărea de Jos" University of Galati.
