Aspecte ale educației tinerilor în „Didahiile“ Sfântului Antim Ivireanul
Abstract
The Holy Hierarch Antim of Iberia is a model of restless hierarch, who brought the Romanian language in the Holy Shrine of the Church and preached God’s Word through words and deeds. Saint Antim’s Didache (Teachings) represents a brave work that replaces the Cazania, which used to be read in the church, providing preachings that are almost “alive”, very deeply connected to everyday life and which were meant to lash and correct aspects in contradiction with the Christian morality and social ethics. Even though there are no sermons addressing exclusively the young in his Didache, in some of his speeches there are thoughts and lessons that focus on the moral life of the young. Saint Antim’s sermons were delivered in the church, where Christians of all ages were present. Saint Antim was a brilliant and skillful preacher who conveyed the message of Heavens’ Kingdom to all believers regardless of their age, social or cultural status. His preachings are very easily received and understood by all people. Hence the timelessness and universal spiritual benefit of his sermons, available Holy Hierarch Antimin any historical epoch.
