Abstract

In internally politics Constantin Brancoveanu had its objectives to ensure a relative autonomy from the Ottoman’s Gate, so given that the Turkish officials were corrupted, they had more and more large financial claims. This issue generated a huge financial pressure on the population of Wallachia. In externally plane, Brancoveanu get involved in politics of Moldova to ensure a possible alliance with the antiotoman character, always secretly treated. Face to Transylvania, Brancoveanu choose a different solution: he keeps a duplicitary policy against the Habsburg empire, Ottoman Empire, as well as towards the Tsar Empire, trying to neutralize their territorial claims. The victim of a tragic histoy, Prince Constantin pays with his life this policy carried on the blade of the knife.
