Abstract

This study brings new documentary contributions with regards to the history of the Băneasa commune, which is situated in the North-East of Galati County. The origins and the evolution of the human settlements from the area and a series of important personalities from Băneasa commune are presented, before a final focus on the church history of the commune: the churches, the priests and the clergy.
