The scientific journals of "Dunărea de Jos" University of Galaţi have a tradition of over thirty years. Publications are edited annually on different study fields, containing studies and scientific articles for the academic community.

The authors of the articles are university professors and collaborators. The scientific journals of the university are the subject of inter-library exchange, being sent both nationally and internationally, ensuring the dissemination of information.

The journals include contributions from our professors in the communications that are supported by the various internal and international scientific events organized by "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati (workshops, conferences, symposiums, etc.); are presented in the form of original and synthesis works, reviews of books and journals, patents, etc.

In 1978, it was published as the Bulletin of the University of Galati, its collection being part of eight fascicles.

Since 1984, the journal has changed its name into the Annals of the University of Galati, with three subtitles and nine fascicles.

Due to the change name of the university in 1990, since 1993 the scientific journals changes their name in the Annals of the "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati. Currently, they are published in a number of 24 fascicles.

At present, under the coordination of university faculties, 31 journals are published. Articles cover areas such as: social and humanities, mathematics, physics, chemistry, electrotechnics, electronics, automation. computer science, machine building, shipbuilding, food industry, law and administrative sciences, life sciences and environmental engineering.
