Abstract
This proposal makes an incursion in the contents of two plays of Eugène Ionesco, Jacques ou la
soumission and L’avenir est dans les oeufs, plays which present continuity of action and use the same
characters, which appeals even more to the readers interested in the theatre of the absurd. The aspects which get
the most attention concern the communication between protagonists, as well as the language sprinkled with
invented words, the translation of which requires a lot of talent from the interpreter which strives to reveal all
the hidden meanings
