Abstract

Master of words in his descriptions, …ric-Emmanuel Schmitt felt he had gained his legitimacy as a writer. Passionate about the history of civilizations and religions, he dedicated three decades of his life to the documentation of his complex work, a saga in eight volumes, affirming that talent is not enough for a writer, but that he must strive to offer a little more to his reading public. Consequently, the present research focused on on his work, Heaven’s Gate, which was translated into Romanian, where the author tries to explain some facts linked to the art of writing rich in historical, even mythical, cultural and philosophical in order to offer them to others from a modern perspective.
